Hello! We are getting close to our backer goal of 250, at which point every backer will get a copy of Vampires on Mars #1 in digital format with their rewards, generously donated by writer/creator George O'Connor.
Meanwhile, I have two excellent comics to share with you that are currently on Kickstarter! One is about unicorns, and the other is about a supernatural detective. It's almost like all my creator friends like the same stuff I do!
This totally badass comic about a heartbroken warrior and a telepathic wolf seeking revenge against unicorns is back for the second volume!
Writer/co-creator Markisan Naso is a masterful storyteller. I got the first volume when it was Kickstarted, and I absolutely love it. Plus, the series has now been nominated for a Ringo, which is fantastic.

This is a super fun noir style detective book about a mummy detective and his vampire sidekick. This is the second issue in a new storyline for Bixby Grant, and so far it's excellent.
Writer/Creator Patrick Coyle and I have had a few conversations about potential crossovers, so who knows, you may be seeing the vampire detective meet up with Bixby at some point...

Hello! We are still going! With 8 days to go we still have time to hit our first stretch goal.
Issue #2 (the one we are currently raising money for) is already 100% done and ready to go to print. The excellent thing about that is that the team is already hard at work on issue #3, the final issue of the series. Both Yonson Carbonell and Dave Swartz are coming back for pages on the final issue, and I've been getting daily updates from them with their progress. That means we will be back with #3 as soon as all the rewards from #2 get out to backers. I really think y'all are going to enjoy these final two issues.
And now, some projects I think you'll really like...
I heard you like vampires. Maybe even vampires in space? George O'Connor has an excellent series about a 300 year old vampire on a quest to get to Mars, and he's currently running a Kickstarter for the second issue.
George was kind enough to offer his first issue as a digital download stretch goal for our backers. If our campaign (Unicorn VERSUS Vampire Detective #2) hits 250 backers, everyone will get a FREE digital copy of Vampires on Mars #2 with their rewards.

We did it! Just a bit ago, we passed our funding goal. Day two fund, pretty good! Thanks so much for your support as we continue this story.
I wanted to address a couple things for anyone who might be wondering. I'll present these as a FAQ:
Good question! The story will be a total of three issues. The first issue was largely self-contained, with a bit of a "end credits scene" in case the book was well-received, which it was! Now we are back with two more issues that make good on the teaser from that first issue. The final issue will be even longer than the first two at 44 pages, and it will wrap up the story. We will launch that final issue once all the rewards from #2 have been delivered to backers.
As you may have noticed, we've been on a bit of a hiatus from Unicorn: Vampire Hunter. We've been doing a few related titles, like Unicorn VERSUS Vampire Detective, Hedgehog: Fear Trials, and Vampire Unicorn Hunter, to stay in the world while we work on the next issues of Unicorn: Vampire Hunter. The main series will be back next year with issue #8, and we should be able to maintain a steady release schedule after that.
Now that we have funded, we can look ahead to stretch goals! The first goal is an audio commentary. I love doing these, because it gives me a chance to talk about the creation process. If we hit $8k, I'll record a thirty minute audio commentary (possibly with some of the other team members as well) and make it available to all backers.
